Man gunned down in St James home on Easter Monday


Not even Easter Monday is seeing a respite from the spate of murders in Jamaica.

An unemployed man was gunned down at his home in St James early Monday morning. He has been identified as 33-year-old Omar Little of Providence Heights, near Flankers.

Reports are that, about 4 am, Little was entering his home when gunshots were heard.

Upon the arrival of the police who were summoned, Little was found on his veranda with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper section of the body.

He was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Nearly 30 spent shells were removed from the scene.

The police who are investigating are yet to establish a motive for the killing .
